Career Journalism Scholarships

These scholarships target seniors in Tampa Bay high schools who have demonstrated their interest in journalism and are planning to major in mass communications/media/journalism in college. The scholarship is worth $2,500 per year and is renewable annually (up to a total of 4 years) with continued interest in journalism/mass communications demonstrated through academic courses and practical experience. 

Four scholarships are awarded to high school seniors annually. The deadline to apply as a high school senior is January 5 (postmarked). The application forms may be printed out from the Scholarships section of this site. They must be mailed to the director of the St. Petersburg Times Fund, P.O. Box 1121, St. Petersburg, FL 33731.

For Career Journalism Scholarship renewals, use the Renewals form (also found at Scholarships on this website) and mail all pertinent materials to the director of the Fund at the above address by the January 5 deadline (postmarked).
